Session 1: Your Role in Employment Law
- Discover the most common legal mistakes made by managers and supervisors.
- Learn how policies help you communicate rules and their impact to employees
- Determine when an event should result in a written policy or procedure

Session 2: Equal Employment Opportunity
- Differentiate between unlawful and lawful discrimination
- Identify the most commonly protected classes of individuals under federal, state and local laws
- Describe how disparate treatment differs from disparate impact and why they're both considered discriminatory
- Explain reasonable accommodation under the ADA
- Determine when you can legally ask an employee for additional medical information
Session 3: Harassment in the Workplace
- Discuss the nature of unlawful harassment
- Explain the differences between unlawful harassment and inappropriate behavior that isn’t legal
- Define sexual harassment and how it impacts equal employment opportunities
- Review the employer’s duty to exercise reasonable care through policy and complaint procedures

Session 4: Important HR Laws

Session 3: Compensation Law Basics
- Discuss the nature of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
- Understand how to compute basic overtime
