Session 1: Conflict Management Strategies That Work
- Understand the surprising differences — and similarities — between men's and women's reactions, interactions and approaches to communication.
- Understand the four most common sources of conflict that lead to disagreements.
- Practice everyday conflict resolution skills, including a proven six-step, win-win approach.
- Assess your personality style and use your strengths to overcome stumbling blocks to agreement.
- Put yourself in their shoes — how empathic listening helps you see both sides of the disagreement.
- Choose a conflict management style that fits the situation.

Session 2: Addressing and Controlling Your Anger and the Anger of Others
- Describe how the appropriate expression of anger is a necessary step to resolving conflict.

- Develop safe ways to blow off steam and use graceful “exit lines” that allow you to postpone a confrontation until your emotions are under control.

Session 3: Accepting Feedback and Resolving Differences

- Review the powerful four-step approach to delivering feedback that’s specific, nonaccusatory and gets results.
- Complete a simple exercise to turn negative self-talk into positive affirmations.
